This week ends on the official day we celebrate our Veterans. Many people will also celebrate Monday the 13th, because that's the day they will have off. Here is a rundown of other topics covered here this week.

Old GloryOn November 5, National Veterans Awareness Week was discussed, and thanks and tribute were offered to the brave heroes that fought in our places. Despite anyone's opinion of war in general, or a specific war, our Veterans deserve to be honored.

The day after the election, President Bush suddenly announced the resignation and replacement of Donald Rumsfeld. Many in the Republican party were stunned, especially after the president had recently stated that the Secretary would stay on throughout his administration. As shocking as the announcement was, change can be good, so let's hope this one is good for our troops.

Veterans Day: A Little History

On November 11th, the official day to celebrate Veterans Day, some history was given regarding how this national holiday came into existence and other details about how it was and is celebrated. Again, those who put on the uniform in our places, deserve our appreciation.
